My why.  I help people realise their potential so they can lead fulfilled lives.

My background is diverse. I was born and raised in Brisbane, lived my 20's in London, 30's in Melbourne and now in my 40’s I call Sydney home. I started my career in marketing, followed by project management whereby I helped deliver a number of projects that impacted the lives of millions of Australians.  During this time, I embarked on my 'agile' journey, immersing myself in a number of roles such as a scrum master, practice lead and now as an agile coach I work with individuals, teams and organisations to help them achieve their goals.

Seeing people succeed is my fuel. "We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give" — Winston Churchill.  I get tremendous fulfilment from seeing others grow and am always looking for opportunities to help people.  I measure my success not just on organisational outcomes, but through how I have contributed in helping others find meaning. 
 
I lead with values. Every coach has their own unique flavour.  My coaching style is pretty simple: I’m staunch on values, but flexible on practices.  My experience has taught me teams that live the values consistently outperform those that just follow frameworks.  The agile values are anchored in authentic human interactions, an essential ingredient for success when working with individuals in complex and ever-changing environments. 
 
Bureaucracy fighter.  I seek opportunities to help organisations unshackle themselves from unnecessary bureaucracy to become nimbler and more responsive to change.  I particularly enjoy helping solve problems centred around: waste removal, continuous improvement, autonomous self-directed teams, tighter feedback loops, faster decision making, prioritisation and leadership culture.

Delivery is important.  I believe in rolling up my sleeves and getting into the work with teams. Whether it’s facilitating tough conversations, unblocking delivery challenges, or simplifying complex structures, I’m hands-on and focused on outcomes. My approach is pragmatic—balancing strategic intent with the reality of day-to-day delivery. I thrive on turning ideas into action and helping people see that progress is possible. For me, agility is not about rituals for the sake of it, but about delivering meaningful outcomes that matter to customers and teams.
 
Customer-first mindset. If my 10 years in the marketing industry has taught me anything, it would be to relentlessly obsess over your customer.  I am constantly sharing this wisdom to help teams: get as close to the customer as possible, test incessantly, and build deep empathy to ensure a customer-centric view is nurtured and considered.  This ensures teams don’t just deliver faster, they deliver what matters.

Sharing is caring. Every day is a school day filled with learning opportunities.  I look for opportunities to share my thoughts whenever possible to grow the community, amplify learning, and spark fresh ideas.  I have presented at a number of agile conferences across Australia including: Agile Tour, Agile Australia and Scrum Australia.
 
I'm a culture hacker. My goal is to create environments where people are proud to work.  To do this, it's vital to create the culture in which teams work.  I’ve co-created cultural shifts across teams that led to stronger engagement and ownership.  I am deliberate in working with people to crowdsource positive cultural change to form a 'new reality', to help achieve inspiring outcomes as a collective.

I love dad jokes. When I’m not with my Sharpies and post its, you’ll find me road-testing dad jokes at microbreweries or kicking the footy with my kids in Sydney Park

Collaborating with the EGM and senior leaders, I applied my experience to implement practical techniques and PACE principles across three villages and 15 squads.

I led a team of six coaches and was accountable for designing and implementing a sustainable agile  transformation in partnership with the Managing Director and the Village Leads to better deliver better outcomes to customers.

In my current engagement, I am responsible for helping over 2.4 million Australians spend and save their money more effectively.  In particular,  I support a 100+ people tribe consisting of 6 squads to help them stay true to their goals.  Also, I run a number of experiments that help generate new ways of thinking about how we plan, govern and prioritise work.
